Your Life, Your Legacy

CREATEA LEGACYOF IMPACT JW

I get asked from time to time why I chose to become a life coach. I often talk about how I enjoy the process of helping people live the lives they were meant to have and how seeing transformation in those I coach is so rewarding. Those things are true, but what’s more is that, for me, coaching isn’t just a business, it’s a calling.
God has called me to talk to people and I’ve answered that call. It’s something that fills me up when I feel depleted. It’s one of the many gifts He’s given me. What He is has called me to talk about with you today is loud and clear and that’s this: be aware of your legacy.

The mere use of the word legacy can inspire so many different thoughts in one’s mind. How am I going to be remembered? What will I leave behind?

There are so many life events, both negative and positive, that shape you. You might be wondering where you should go next and how to use your past to move forward into the future. There will be many trying times in your life, and you might be faced with figuring out how you will ever get through it all. The truth is that the Holy Spirit is always with you and is stronger for these obstacles. How can you turn it all around and make life’s trials a steppingstone for your legacy?

Coaching is just one way you can uncover your legacy and a journey I’d be honored to walk through with you. I will encourage you to explore what your journey has been about and give you a deeper understanding about what it all means.

Viktor Frankl once said, “Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life; everyone must carry out a concrete assignment that demands fulfillment. Therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated. Thus, everyone’s task is unique as is his specific opportunity to implement it.”

These words inspire me to no end. It’s so important to reflect on life as a whole and leave that legacy.

Why is leaving a legacy so important? Honestly, it’s a soul thing. You have a pull to be remembered and a want and need to do so. It’s asked often, but it’s so very fitting to ask — How do you want to feel on your death bed? It’s so very important to know that you contributed to this life; that you really did make a difference.

Coaching will shift your awareness and bring you many of those aha moments to know that you truly mattered. It helps you understand exactly what life is about. At the end of the day, it creates an entirely different purpose for waking up in the morning.
